WHAT IS

CULTURAL SUPERVISION

Cultural supervision seeks to develop and enhance practitioners expertise and understanding when working in the complex field of Indigenous health and education. Employees and practitioners at all levels can benefit from enhancing their cultural awareness, cultural security and cultural safety.

Cultural supervision is for both Aboriginal people wanting to reflect on their own cultural responsibilities, experiences, and complexities and how this impacts their work; and for non- Indigenous people who need to upskill, learn and enhance their practice with Indigenous people.

While not all Aboriginal cultures and communities are the same, Lukas has the experience of working across a diversity of cultures and communities and can provide guidance and space for reflection to build and enhance your skills.

Lukas is able to challenge and gently guide practitioners so they can work in a culturally safe and secure manner, whether it be in urban and metropolitan areas, or in rural and remote environments. Lukas is experienced in working with both men and women (where appropriate) in both remote and urban Indigenous communities.
